Ambercrape

Biography

Ambercrape is a metal/rock group from Tampere Finland. The band was formed in the late 2005 by Timo Saari (gtr), Marko Kallioniemi (bs) and Petri Puhakka (dr) by the name MeanDeeper. In the spring of 2007 Nina Hiironniemi joined the band and took over the leading vocals from Timo. At that time the band was renamed as Ambercrape. The spring of 2008 brought more changes as MeanDeeper was reborn and separated into a project of its own in it..s original line up, and a new drummer Zeppo Patteri replaced Petri Puhakka in Ambercrape. So the current line up of Ambercrpe is: Timo Saari (gtr), Marko Kallioniemi (bs), Zeppo Puhakka (dr) and Nina Hiironniemi (voc).

Ambercrape..s music is a great combination of experience, energy and creativity, hard riffs and pretty melodies. The band has managed to mix rock, old fashion heavy metal, modern metal and even progressive metal into their music. The female-lead-vocals keep the songs melodic and a bit softer.

In the summer of 2008 an american record company 272 records contacted the band wanting to add one Ambercrape song Mask of lie on their new Kill City Vol 11 collection CD. The CD was released in Oct 2008. The bands first official demo was released Aug 2008 as the band declared their hunt for a label started. So more Ambercrape music is to come...
