CALLISTO TO TOUR WITH THE OCEAN AND EF IN FINLAND

CALLISTO has issued the following update: "Callisto, The Ocean (GER) and EF (SWE) will be touring Finland in May! The dates & venues are: May 26th Tampere @ Klubi May 27th Turku @ Klubi May 28th Helsinki @ Dante's Highlight Be there if you happen to be in Finland at that time. Welcome."

Biography

Callisto is a Finnish post-metal band with a sound similar to the likes of Isis and Cult of Luna. Whilst their early works are clearly hardcore/metalcore, their first album True Nature Unfolds has a strong sludge metal and doom influence and their second album Noir is more influenced by "old-school" post-rock bands like Mogwai. Apart from featuring female vocals on some songs, they have used unexpected instruments, for example saxophone and cello.

Callisto's short and cryptic lyrics contain Christian themes and references.
