Biography

Funeral Feast was formed in 1998 under the name of Phlegethon, playing in the style of old Emperor and Enslaved. Later that year they got a drummer and started playing Black/Thrash Metal and changed their name into Funeral Feast. During the years 1999-2003 they did 3 demos and 1 promo. They also played live several times with bands such as Dark Funeral, Tidfall, Behexen and Enochian Crescent.

In the summer of 2003 Funeral Feast entered studio and recorded their debut album Genocide Ad Nauseam. At that moment they did not have a release-deal but after sending it to a few labels the recorded material went to print by small finnish labels Northern Sound and Hiilos Distribution. Cover art and website was made by Helgorth/Babalon Graphics. After the album's release in 2003 Funeral Feast has played with bands like Legion, Black Dawn, Impaled Nazarene, Destroye, Kataplexia and others.

In the summer of 2004 the original FF trio parted from their hometown. On autumn 2006 they did a couple shows with mexican black/death band Balam Akab. New songs have been written and promo recorded. Funeral Feast got new members from a deathmetal group from their hometown, and they are a fuctioning live act. The band hopes that a reasonable record label gets interested in releasing the future album. The labels that released the debut have since ended their album releasing and have focused on distribution. Therefore Funeral Feast is looking for a new record release deal!
