September 16th 2011 sees Grönholm release their sophomore album ‘Silent Out Loud’ on Lion Music. Home to 10 tracks full of infectious vocal melodies over dynamic musical backdrops; ‘Silent Out Loud’ is an impressive collection of song craft all topped off with a powerful production and mix. Grönholm the band is built around the song writing skills of Mika Grönholm (guitar, bass and keyboards) with vocals once again by Markku Kuikka (Status Minor) and drums from Tom Rask. Biography
The Finnish music man Mika Grönholm created project Grönholm in 2009, which centered on the idea to create a record for Mika’s music. Markku Kuikka (singer) and Tom Rask (drummer) joined the team after hearing some demos of the first record to be. The work method for this trio is to write and record music at home studios and add their own style and sound without travelling between homes, public training and recording studios. To this date, Grönholm has made two albums: Eyewitness of Life (2010) and Silent out loud (2011).
