Biography
There is a Presence. An indescribable, all-prevailing Feeling of Presence, pulsating throughout the living.
From the infinite core of this Feeling, rushing forth into the present, is a Thought. A thought that all of our existence and deeds are more than just individual, separate occurrences. A thought that the only way to break the cycle of fear, violence and bitterness torturing our planet, is to accept one's own emotions and to respect the emotions of other beings. That not doing so by avoiding responsibility, and taking the cowardly position of a bystander, is no longer an option. This thought is Insert Remedy, our music being the soundtrack for this movement.
Since 2003 this vision has taken form. In a fairly short time our road has lead us from grim loss all the way up to the bright peaks of pure beauty (and back), with all but one thing changing; the constant, yet always reforming strive to find just the right rhythm, the right melody, lyrics, and the ability to accurately present all this on stage, so to touch others as we have been touched.
Insert Remedy is a process of letting go. This is our way of liberating ourselves from the rusty, but conventional shackles of a life based upon the opinion, and the need to be accepted by others. Through our raging and intense performance we also challenge the receiver to re-evaluate his/her prejudices, attitudes and way of life.
We want to give you the opportunity to re-create yourself with the aid of our music, or to medicate yourself just as you are.
In our creative work we clearly set apart from all possible genre-classifications by combining multiple aspects in our music, fusing our very own experience with the familiar elements which have deeply affected us. The only restriction we give our music is that of it's immediate sincereness. We will not woo fawners, nor will we ever offer an easy to digest, insignificant recipe for anyone to indulge in.
From the point where opposing forces meet, Insert Remedy brings itself forth as a constantly changing and twisting Presence, working as a midwife to help our planet in it's labor pains of renewal.
It is never too late.
