Mind of Doll was formed by 4 dudes from Vantaa, for being the alternative to kicking walls and pissing into corners. You can smell the stuffiness of rock clubs just by looking at the Doll..s attitude, in the background you can hear echoes of some growling and howling alleycats and stray dogs, but it all will be mercilessly run over by the evilish rock..n..roll roaming of the Dolls. Low life heroes are back!
After forming the Mind of Doll, in Vantaa during year 2000, the band has been creating their own path, chin up and bowing to no one. Wonder if Rock..n..roll has been sucked from mommys breast milk early on, or have they added that stuff to Vantaas drinking water, but Visa, Sakke, Päivinen and Öre havenít needed any supporting lessons about rock-attitude nor creating highly addictive rock rallies. The next natural step is to punch thru to the knowledge of the grand masses, so that everybody else can enjoy this piece of sweetness, than the pioneers and elitists who already dig it.
So far the Mind of Doll has released two indie singles and Bad Habits Are Golden - EP in the year 2003. No years of absence have been taken from rocking, in fact the band, during this time, has taken live audiences on over 100 gigs, and have been training very disciplinarily. Mind of Doll..s have received thanks expressively for it..s tight and entertaining live performances, where the eye candy is, as it..s supposed to be, present and not only the sound scheme. From Doll..s gigs you go home hammering your fist thru the air with a devilish grin on your face.
The charmant, over twenties of age, men mention their idol..s to be The Hellacopters, Smack, Backyard Babies, Hanoi Rocks and Motörhead, among many others. That list has been listened to very closely, but no one can throw any allegations of plagiarism at these guys. Doll..s own interesting and a bit snotty sound is the result of years of training and seaming together as a group, which most distinctive features are Visas streed creditted singing style and the bands harshishly clockwork playing.
During fall -07 -- just in time to save the darkening evenings -- the Dolls launched the tightest album of the year. LOW LIFE HEROES is record, which has the most rich, tight, and entertaining tracks in it. That..s what..s up with the Mind of Doll.
