Monitors Alive

Biography

Monitors Alive is a 5-piece rock band hailing from Turku, Finland. Origins of the band date back to the beginning of 2006, when guitarist Petteri Granberg and drummer Joni Heino decided to begin working on their musical ambitions. Two years, a dozen of live performances and two promo recordings later, the band found its current line-up in the summer of 2008. The band then started to refine its new sound and released a 3-track EP (Light-Years) in February 2009 to give the audience a taste of what is coming.

Despite the relatively short history, we are an experienced and energetic live act, since several members of the band have worked with other musical projects for years. As a band, we share the ambition to perform professionally on record, on stage and with everything we do. For the following spring and summer we hope to get the chance to play for finnish and foreign live audiences as often as possible and promote our new EP. We are prepared for hard work to spread the name. In addition we are continuously working on new material, which will hopefully be on air by the end of the year.
