My Dawn

Biography

The story of My Dawn goes back to the nineteen’s. Pasi has this called band with other guys and we other (Juha, Riku, Samuli, Anssi ) was just jamming together for own fun. After millennium those paths joined. Firstly we played cover songs and did some gigs under different names.

Between 2003-2004 we started compose our own stuff and bring My Dawn life again. We did some demo tapes between 2004-2005 and record our first songs. We had a few gigs between 2004- 2005 but the group was not satisfied. So we took the whole different way to go on. We started to pay a lot more attention to our arrangements and sounds. Some new and some old material saw a daylight in the end of 2005.

In December 2005 we went to record those materials in Tampere Konservatorio..s studio. After the recording sessions we were quite satisfied to the results. One thing led to the other and in April 2006 we found ourselves sitting in Studio Audio in Jyväskylä where Jari Mikkola showed us how the real pro does mixing things. We Lucky Bastards! Mikkola made a Brilliant job and mixed and mastered those three songs. Mcd Adrenalin Burst saw bright dawn light in June 2006.

Material was better and bigger and on the way what we wanted it to be. We did couple gigs based on new material. Tiina joined the band and played keyboards on these gigs.

Soon winter 2006-2007 we notice that everyone don’t have same interests and heart burning to the band. Anssi and Tiina end up like session players and they don’t have enough input for the result. So it was time to clean up the line up and get some air around it.

Pasi took guitar on his hand and replace missing link. HD player plays all synths and sample tracks. We did lately one practice gig with this smaller group and everything seems working well. So the new smaller crusty dawn is rising. We have written lots of new material with this smaller group and practice more and more. Up to date we had ripen seven songs for the new release. Hopefully that new material comes out someday soon. There is a plan to go studio on autumn. But without rush we have to still polish little pit those diamonds. New material would be angrier but still in same melodic mood.

There have been plans and rumours on the air about a new guitar and keyboard fellows. But let the future shown. Now the hunger and burning is bigger and we want more. So it shall be.

We had started recording our new songs on demo-tapes for pre-production. After those tracks we go to the "real" studio and start "real" working. Hopefully you hear result soon! We guarantee that material would be worth the wait!

Tracks are now mixed. Mr. Mikkola In Studio Audio did wonderful job with those 5 songs. New song called "Victory" from Ep "Control" added. More coming soon in June.
