Myrkkykieli biography

2002: Founded in Oulu, northern Finland, 65 degrees north, 25 degrees east, close to Lapland and the Arctic Circle.2003: Myrkkykieli threw their first gigs.2004: Recorded the first promotional EP, ”Kahleet” (“Breaking the Chains”).2005: Kahleet was released on 26 January 2005. Kahleet had some success with the opening track ”Joku kuulee” (“Someone Will Hear You Calling”) in a contest of unsigned bands organized by Universal Music and Mikseri.net. The band came very close to being amongst the ten finalists out of a group of 350 contestants. However, this earned the band some fame and publicity. This was seen at the end of the year when Myrkkykieli did become a finalist, with six other bands in the even more important National Rock

Biography

2004: Recorded the first promotional EP, ”Kahleet” (“Breaking the Chains”).

2005: Kahleet was released on 26 January 2005. Kahleet had some success with the opening track ”Joku kuulee” (“Someone Will Hear You Calling”) in a contest of unsigned bands organized by Universal Music and Mikseri.net. 2006: The second promotional album Kiro (“Swear”), was released on 14 March 2006. The opening track ”Kuivunutta verta” (“Your Love Makes My Blood Go Dry”) made its way to the “Noise.fi vol.2” -CD-compilation, which is a popular CD of signed and unsigned Finnish bands.

2007: As an unsigned band Myrkkykieli continues working, again in a studio, preparing material for the upcoming full CD of songs, which includes all the songs of the preceding promos (slightly rearranged), and 6 totally new pieces.
