Biography

Portrait Of Pain has been Janne Tuikkala's solo project since 1999.
Styles have varied from grindcore to powermetal and name has changed often too.

In 2004 Portrait Of Pain came back alive as Janne decided to start working on
solo material as he didn't get good band around him. He wrote and recorded Opeth stylish
melodic deathmetal songs and released those on PoP website.

In 2005 Janne met his friend Tapani Partanen in local metalbar and
they had talk about forming a band. After few weeks they were in contact
again and Janne sent Never Healing to Tappi and he got interested of
forming a band - he also knew a guitarist and bassist who could join the project.

Jani Kähkönen joined the band as guitarist and Mikko Taskinen as bassist.
After several months of practicing Janne asked his school-time friend
Sami Piira to come to rehearsals and listen and maybe try some vocals.

Fortunately Sami was the guy which band was looking for and joined band
