Biography

Rock & Roll Sensation is a band that combines world-class musicians with professional showmannerisms. The band consists of a long line of professionals and, according to the band's philosophy, the musicians learn to work specifically on the stage. The band is honed by hundreds of live performances and the occurence of an impressive rock & roll show.

The band's journey began in the spring of 2007, when Aki Vuorensyrjällä came up with the idea of setting up a massive rock cover band, which should not stop partying whatever tthe weather, and thus Rock'n'Roll Sensation was born.

After a few line-up changes the band was established to its current form - drummer Aki Vuorensyrjä, singer Pekka Heino, keyboardist Jani Wilund, guitarists Euge Valovirta and Sami Sirolinna, and bassist Pirkka Isotalo.

In the last years, RRS has performed an average of one hundred concerts per year - the biggest of these were at the Apollo Live Club in Helsinki. In the autumn of 2011 the band started to make permanent appearances at Ravintola DOM in Helsinki as the Saturday night house band.

Guest artists that have performed with the band include  Michael Monroe, Pete Parkkonen, Jonna Geagea, Petra, Mikko Leppilampi, Ville Tuomi, Jarkko Ahola, Aron, Ari Koivunen, Sani, Agnes, Jimi Constantine, Jussi69, Kristiina Wheeler, Taage Laiho, Ville Parkkonen, Mica Ikonen, Tipe Johnson, Carlton J Smith ….

Right from the start it has been clear that Rock’n’Roll Sensation will release its own music at some point, and some recording sessions have already taken place in the studio.
