Stabdog

Biography

Stabdog was founded in Oulu in 2007, when Keränen, Haataja and Sarala decided to start training and jamming again. It was the reunion of many years´ standing, therefore their former band Dicktator (or also known as Goregasm depending on point in time) was active in years ´89-93´. The start of the new stoner rock/ doom metal band was quite slow in the beginning, because  even after several head vocalist try outs they were not able to find the right one for the job. Finally they managed to find Keränen`s old pal Kuokkanen (Myrkkykieli), who joined the band in autumn 2008 and Stabdog started to record their first EP in January 2009. Their debut promotional EP “Heat Fairy 2023” was published in April 2009.
