NATALI: For those who don't know Jari-mastermind of band called Wintersun was ex singer in Finnish band Ensiferum.What caused your leaving from Ensiferum?

JARI: Well..I've already had my band Wintersun in time when I've been part of Ensiferum, and I had to go on tour with Wintersun when guys from Ensiferum started with reharsal for new album,so..That was one of the reasons.I had to choose in which band I'll stay!

NATALI: How did you found the rest of the band?

JARI: Actualy I've sent an e-mail to Kai if he would like to play with me in our own band. First album of Wintersun was made by two of us!Then in Corner bar we found Jukka,and Teemu I found via applications on internet,when we've been searching for new guitar player.He was the best one..

NATALI: Why name Wintersun?

JARI: Winter describes atmosphere of our music and Sun describes it's place in Universe. I feel that there's a lil bit Spacy mood in our music..I like Space!It inspires me.

NATALI: When you've been searching for new guitarist,you choosed Teemu to join Wintersun crew.Once you stated that he playes guitar even better than you! Are you really so satisfied with skills of your band-mates?

JARI: I was just joking!(laughing) No,really I think that he's good guitar player and I'm happy that I've choosed him to join Wintersun. But I must say that he's definetly better then I was in his age when it comes to guitar skills!

NATALI: It's interesting that you've been searching only Finnish musicians as your new band-mate!?!

JARI: It wasn't like...That guy must be from Finland...But having Finnish guy in band is much easier option, cause we speak the same language,and then...It's about chemistry and understanding.So,of course it's much easier to do with guy which lives in your area,and also when it comes to rehearsal it's a helping fact.

NATALI: Begining for Wintersun wasn't so easy.How did you managed yourself record label,live performances,etc.?
