NIGHTWISH: "Dark Passion Play" Certified Double Platinum in Finland

NIGHTWISH's new album, "Dark Passion Play", has been certified double platinum in Finland for sales in excess of 60,000 copies within two days of the CD's release.

NIGHTWISH has scheduled a special in-store performance at Vintage Vinyl in Fords, New Jersey on October 19 at 6:00 p.m. Pre-order either the one-disc standard version or the two-CD collector's edition featuring one bonus track plus a second CD containing orchestral versions of the entire record at this location to get a wristband which will guarantee admittance to the in-store. Wristbands are given out on a first-come, first-served basis.

NIGHTWISH will make its "official" live debut with new singer Anette Olzon on October 6 in Tel Aviv, Israel.

The group's U.S. tour kicks off on October 15 in West Springfield, Virginia.

"Dark Passion Play" will be released in the U.S. on October 2 via Roadrunner Records.
