Finnish metal band FORCE MAJEURE has inked a deal with Low Frequency Records. The group's debut album, "Frozen Chambers", will be released in March.
According to a press release, "Frozen Chambers" "boasts ten outstandingly hard-rocking melodic metal songs. The songwriting on the album is both diverse and catchy, as the band can be heard forging ahead from one musical atmosphere to another. 'The Gatecrusher', for example, is a storming album starter, whereas 'Winter's Tale' showcases the more sentimental and refined side of the band.
"'Frozen Chambers' was recorded at the brand new Scandal Recording Studio in Helsinki. The album was produced by Kari 'Huikka' Huikuri, who also played the keyboard parts on the album. The mixing was done by Nino Laurenne at Sonic Pump Studios in early 2007.
"The stellar vocals on the album are provided by Ricky Tournee, heralded by many as the finest frontman to emerge in the traditionally strong Finnish metal scene in years. His extremely versatile vocals range from a soft gentle touch to a remarkably aggressive delivery and all the way to clean, soaring metal vocals. The diverse song material combined with a superb singer make 'Frozen Chambers' the most interesting album of early 2008."
