CHILDREN OF BODOM's NAMM Jam Featured On 'Young Guitar' DVD

According to a posting on the CHILDREN OF BODOM fan site Scythes Of Bodom, COB mainman Alexi Laiho will be featured on the cover of the next issue of Japan's Young Guitar magazine. The issue will come with a DVD containing professionally shot footage of Laiho and keyboardist Janne Wirman performing at this year's NAMM (National Association of Music Merchants) show, which was held in January at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California. The duo's set included an instrumental, re-arranged version of "Tie My Rope", taken from their new "Blooddrunk" album, and "Sioux City Saspirilla", which Laiho contributed to the Finnish "Guitar Heroes" album.

Bay Area Backstage has posted an extended (13-minute) video clip of b>Alexi Laiho and Janne Wirman jamming on January 19 at the ESP booth at this year's winter NAMM show.

As previously reported, CHILDREN OF BODOM will be IRON MAIDEN frontman Bruce Dickinson's guests on Friday, March 28 during Bruce's weekly BBC 6 Music radio show, aptly named "The Bruce Dickinson Friday Rock Show". Listen to the program live via the Internet between 10:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m. U.K. time at BBC.co.uk.

CHILDREN OF BODOM topped the single chart in the band's home country with its latest release, "Blooddrunk". The song's accompanying video was shot in the former Nazi barracks in Krampnitz in the vicinity of Berlin, Germany, where the Russian army was stationed before the German reunion.

CHILDREN OF BODOM's new album, "Blooddrunk", is scheduled for release in North America on April 15 via Spinefarm/Fontana International. The CD is due in Europe on April 7 via Spinefarm Records (two days later in Finland).
