NIGHTWISH: London Footage Posted Online

Finnish/Swedish symphonic metallers NIGHTWISH are currently on tour in the UK, leaving behind a trail of sold-out shows, including Thursday night's packed crowd at London's Astoria. In some of the footage they are joined by a musician named Troy who contributed to the band's latest CD, "Dark Passion Play", playing bagpipes. According to the band's manager Ewo, Troy is a "fantastic magician as well!"

Some songs from NIGHTWISH's concert in Frankfurt, Germany will be broadcast on Germany's biggest rock and metal radio show, "HR3 Hard 'n' Heavy - Die Lange Harte Nacht", on Friday, April 4 at 11:30 p.m. CET. International listeners can listen to the program via the Internet at this location.

NIGHTWISH will announce its upcoming U.S. fall tour dates on April 8.

"The Islander", the new single from NIGHTWISH, will be released on May 21 and will include the following tracks:

02. Escapist (instrumental version)
03. Meadows Of Heaven (orchestral version)

The video for "The Islander" was shot last autumn in Rovaniemi, Finland and was directed by Stobe Harju. The clip will premiere on April 14 at 7:00 p.m. (Finnish time) on MTV Finland's show "Spanking New".
