DISCARD Frontman Quits; Band Pulls Out Of 'Thrashing Like A Maniac' Tour
25.08.2008
Heikki Miettinen, the lead singer of Finnish modern thrashers DISCARD, has left the band due to a "total lack of motivation and anxiety towards band activity." As a result, DISCARD has been forced to cancel its participation in the Thrashing Like a Maniac European tour with GAMA BOMB (Ireland) and BONDED BY BLOOD (USA).
DISCARD's debut album, "Carrion" (2007), has been released in nine European countries so far, including Germany, Austria and Switzerland, where the album is distributed by Hellfest Records via Universal Music Group and promoted by Brainstorm Music Marketing (METALLICA, SLAYER, RAMMSTEIN). The band is signed to Shadow World Records.
