NIGHTWISH: Knoxville Show Cancelled

Finnish/Swedish metal band Nightwish has made the following statement:
Nightwish`s show tonight in Knoxville is cancelled due to Anette`s sudden severe illness. We will keep you informed about the situation of the remaining U.S. shows. We are very, very sorry about this, there`s nothing anybody can do about these things.
Even though Sonata Arctica will play tonight, all the tickets will be fully refunded by the promoter.

NIGHTWISH released a digital-only collection of demos and B-sides titled "The Sound of Nightwish Reborn", on September 2. This release, which clocks in at nearly 70 minutes of music, retains "must-have" status for all NIGHTWISH diehards, since it includes a bevy of exclusive material, such as demo versions of songs from the "Dark Passion Play" sessions that were recorded prior to singer Anette Olzon joining the band and that feature Marco Tapani Hietala handling the vocals, as well as B-sides.

They play NY Saturday...hope they make it :/ If not, maybe we will also get just Sonata?

Oops, I'd also like to add, that I think it's great that the people still got a refund, even though Sonata played. They could have easily just canceled the whole thing...but the people still got a show. :)

Total bummer they couldnt play. Still an awesome show however. Got to chat with a few of the Nightwish people after the show. You could tell they were bumed and worried about thier friend. I hope she gets ship shape soon. and that they come back our way one day.
