PAIN To Support NIGHTWISH In London

Swedish metallers PAIN, who feature in their ranks producer, songwriter and performer Peter Tägtgren (HYPOCRISY), have been confirmed as main support for NIGHTWISH on March 11, 2009 at Brixton Academy in London, England.

"Follow Me", the new video from PAIN, can be viewed below. The clip, which was shot in October, features a special guest appearance by NIGHTWISH singer Anette Olzon. The performance footage in the video was filmed during PAIN's October 9, 2008 concert at Tavastia in Helsinki, Finland.

"Follow Me" is the first single off PAIN's new album, "Cynic Paradise", which was released in Germany on October 31 via Nuclear Blast Records. The follow-up to "Psalms of Extinction" (which was released in 2007 via Roadrunner) features "eleven gems offering a vast variety of styles and influences which are even new for PAIN," according to a press release. Anette Olzon makes a guest appearance on two tracks — "Follow Me" and "Feed Us". The artwork was created by renowned artist Travis Smith (AMORPHIS, OPETH, NEVERMORE).

  2. Anette looks great and sounds marvelous in this video and song. She reminds me of Bjork a bit in her appearance in general.

Pain were excellent when I saw them support Nightwish in Glasgow, and I was hoping and praying they would be the support for the Brixton show! I guess Yule-tide miracles DO happen!

  5. ... I saw PAIN in London in March this year, to be honest, weren't too impressed with them. :(

However, Nightwish more than made up for them.

If I get to the gig this time round I'll see if they've improved. ;P
