CHILDREN OF BODOM: Keyboardist´s New WARMEN Album Nearing Completion
26.03.2009
Children Of Bodom fans site Scythes Of Bodom has checked in with the following update:
"Children Of Bodom's favourite sound tech, Kal (aka K-Man) has posted an update on his blog about the much-anticipated fourth WARMEN album, due to be released later this year.
It seems the K-Man was co-opted into helping Janne Warman with the mixing process, this being the first time Janne had mixed one of his own albums: as Kal put it, 'Setting up and messing with effects, and being another pair of ears.' Alexi (Laiho) was also on hand to add some ideas, and after many long and late nights, and much consuming of McDonald's, the tricky task of mixing the album is done, except for a few minor tweaks, which will be finished before COB depart for their US tour with LAMB OF
K-Man, of course, did not reveal any details about the album's songs but, as he said, 'Janne and the guys have great vision - you will not be disappointed.'
Scythes Of Bodom recently did an interview with Wirman. An excerpt appears below:
Q: Can you reveal the title (of the new album)?
Janne: "No. Well, okay, I have to tell you that the title was going to be Japanese Hospitality, but then Chinese Democracy came out before it so it would have ruined my idea. Japanese Hospitality was my idea for a Warmen album for years because Japanese hospitality exists, unlike Chinese democracy. They (GUNS N' ROSES) fucked up my idea so I have to come up with something new."

If Warmen can have a 4th album, so can Sinergy too. But yeah it was a bummer when GNR used Chinese Democracy for their album title (Fittan Sucks really), other than that I'm looking forward for the new Warmen album

Nah, I think Sinergy is over. I hope Alexi didn't influence him too much, I want to hear Wirman's music!
Japanese Hospitality xD how'd he come up with that?

To Ilya : Current Alexi composition just really meh, not like he used to compose back in the day with the early COB and Sinergy days, Alexi's like being burnt out with ideas. Maybe a change of composers for the next COB album where everyone contributes each idea and for once Alexi gives credit to the other guys and not just himself because in a band there's no I and everyone has to contribute and it makes sense for Alexi to give the guys credit.
