ENSIFERUM: Footage From 'From Afar' Tour Posted Online

Video footage of the opening show of ENSIFERUM's "From Afar" tour — which kicked off on September 24 at Nosturi in Helsinki, Finland — can be viewed below. Also appearing on the bill are TRACEDAWN and METSATÖLL.

ENSIFERUM will return to North America in November for a full headlining tour. Support will be provided by HYPOCRISY, EX DEO, BLACKGUARD and SWASHBUCKLE (on select dates).

"From Afar", the fourth album from Finnish folk metallers ENSIFERUM, sold around 900 copies in the United States in its first week of release, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The CD landed at position No. 44 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.

"From Afar" was released on September 9 via Spinefarm Records. The CD was produced by Tero Kinnunen (NIGHTWISH, AMORPHIS) and Janne Joutsenniemi ('Victory Songs' producer) and was mixed by Hiili Hiilesmaa (HIM, SENTENCED, AMORPHIS).
