DELAIN Joined By NIGHTWISH's HIETALA, Former AFTER FOREVER Singer At Zwolle Concert
03.11.2009
DELAIN's "special show" on Saturday, October 31 at Broerenkerk in Zwolle, Holland was professionally filmed for possible release. Joining the group during the performance were special guests Marco Hietala (NIGHTWISH, TAROT) and Floor Jansen (AFTER FOREVER, REVAMP).
Fan-filmed video footage of the concert can be viewed below. Photos are available at this location.
DELAIN's second album, "April Rain", entered the German Media Control chart at position No. 96. The CD was released in North America on June 30 via Sensory Records (with U.S. distribution through Ryko and Canadian distribution through Sonic Unyon). The North American version of the album features a bonus track — "Come Closer" — which was previously only available on the limited-edition digipack version of the LP.
DELAIN recently parted ways with guitarist Ronald Landa due to musical differences. A replacement axeman has yet to be announced.
DELAIN bassist Rob van der Loo will sit out the band's European tour with SONATA ARCTICA due to other personal commitments. He will be temporarily replaced by Roel Vink. Rob will still play the tour's Dutch dates.

DELAIN has been confirmed as one of the headliners of the Femme Metal Festival, set to take place November 7-8, 2009 at The Asylum (Saturday) in Birmingham and The Peel (Sunday) in London, United Kingdom.

I love Control The Storm! it's one of my favorite Delain songs...
I wish I could see them live...
and of course the majestuous presence of Floor Jansen is always welcome.

I only wish they sang No Compliance, I love that song! Plus, it would have been nice to hear Charlotte sing it, since I never heard her version of it.

Very nice show =D I really loved it. It was really great to hear the songs this time with Charlotte and Marco on vocals! Although I had some problems with liking Day for ghost, this time featuring Floor on vocals.. But That's probaply because with Liv on vocals it's one of my fav songs. And Floor and liv's voices differ a lot.
It was funny to see Marco. He looks like he didn't knew what to do with his hands when he hasn't a bass in it xD Sometimes he really looked kinda helpless, which was kinda cute xD Next to me there was a person who wanted to run up to him and give him a hug because he looked so helpless xD.

Das erste video ist einfach funny. Marcos Gesichtsausdruck, seine Handbewegungen und wo er Luftgitarre spielte ... echt lustig :)

I was there and the show was great! So good to see Floor on stage again, and Marco too of course!
Control the storm was the best performed song of the show I guess..

Marco rules, but Delain is just plain bad!

Ooooh, I love Marco so much! It's true, he looks a little out of sorts without his bass, but he still did a great job! Charlotte is also one hell of an enthusiastic performer! I'd love to see these guys in concert...

@ Sorcha
I want to give Marco a big hug too, but not because he looked helpless (he actually was yearning for having something to play with his hands, like a bass or a guitar), but because he's amazing! So charming, always full of energy and spark... here I actually think he looked old, kind of tired, but funny and stunning at the same time.
