"Bonjour France! From October 10th - 13th, ESP shredder Alexi Laiho of Children Of Bodom will be doing appearances and signing sessions at four ESP dealers in Lille, Paris, Toulouse, and Nantes. Mark your calendars now and do not miss this!"
Children Of Bodom have checked in with the following announcement:

"Bonjour France! From October 10th - 13th, ESP shredder Alexi Laiho of Children Of Bodom will be doing appearances and signing sessions at four ESP dealers in Lille, Paris, Toulouse, and Nantes. Mark your calendars now and do not miss this!"

From ESP: "Alexi has been connected with ESP going back to the early 2000s, and we've worked together to make a number of outstanding Signature Series guitars under both the ESP and LTD brands. His current lineup of the Alexi Laiho Greeny, the ESP E-II Alexi Wild Scythe, the LTD Alexi-200 and other models can all be seen on his Signature Series collection. If you're going to one of Alexi's appearances in France, be sure to ask about special deals on Alexi's signature guitars. For detailed information, please get in touch with any of the ESP dealers mentioned below. Plan on arriving early if you want a chance to meet and greet with Alexi; these ESP clinics can fill up quickly!"

Alexi Laiho in-store appearances are as follows:

October
10 - Star's Music - Lille, France
11 - Metal Guitar - Paris, France
12 - Midi Music - Toulouse, France
13 - Michenaud - Nantes, France

Children Of Bodom are returning to North America this fall for a celebration of 20 years since the debut of Something Wild and the beginning of the Hate Crew.

The 24-date tour will kick off on October 31st in Dallas, Texas with appearances at this year's Ozzfest Meets Knotfest, seven Canadian dates before concluding in Montreal on December 1st. Joining the band on the momentous occasion are Dutch masters of horror Carach Angren, Finnish thrashers Lost Society and New Jersey progressive, technical death metallers Uncured. Watch a tour trailer below.

Alexi Laiho comments: “So my friends, after rolling thru Europe doing the 20th year anniversary tour, we were honestly pretty bummed out to find out that we wouldn't have enough time to bring the tour to America since it was absolutely a blast for both the crowd and the band. But now I’m stoked to announce that as it turns out, we indeed will be able to do this on the other side of the pond so I’m over the top happy about that!! Remember guys, this will be a once in a lifetime experience seeing us playing all kinds of obscure tracks off the first album, stuff from the second and third albums that we ain't played in over 15 years and the general rule really is that there will not be a single song newer than the Hate Crew Deathroll tracks so it's all about old school COB! So even if Something Wild isn't your favorite album, I can guarantee that it will be entertaining, nostalgic and flat out funny as hell to be a part of this madness so that's one party you just cannot miss! I hope to see you there ladies and gents!

Tickets are on sale now.

As of today we are informing that we are looking for a new vocalist to join our ranks - as unfortunately, Tommy is stepping down from the Damnation Plan harsh/clean vocal duties. We want to thank Tommy for his awesome contribution on our both albums and for being a part of the Damnation Plan family for these years! We're honored for having him as part of our journey and could not be more pleased from what we've created so far! There's no drama involved in this, just new challenges & life. We wish Tommy all the best in his future endeavors!!

So, changes will be ahead - which we expect to be nothing short of the next & renewed Damnation Plan chapter! That being said, we are now officially looking for a new vocalist to join Asim to our Damnation Plan dual vocal department.

We aim to record new music and start touring more extensively in the near future!

VOCALISTS:
If YOU know you can deliver adrenaline fueled harsh vocals for our songs (clean vocal capabilities are also considered as a plus), and want to join us, to become a part of Damnation Plan and our next musical endeavors - send us a video sample of you singing/shouting one of our songs!

Follow these steps:
1) Listen&Choose either of the songs (or both)
RULERS OF TRUTH:
Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/track/1rV6TwzHejYcfBwEdO04VJ
Lyrics: https://tinyurl.com/y97scnck
or
'REALITY ILLUSION'
Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/track/7HVQkg2S4u6C3GReWVhZ9w
Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IqIeUFHnsLM
Lyrics: https://tinyurl.com/y97scnck

2) Record on video your vocal performance on top of the track (record the video with phone/camera, however, and e.g. using headphones while blasting away)

3) Send your vocal submission to @ (attachments (max 20MB) / youtube / wetransfer etc. links) introducing yourself

4) Also if you have previous works of yours with audio/video samples that shows what you are able to deliver, be sure to include links to them as well!

Requirements:
+you are able to handle varying harsh vocal / "pitch/note scream" levels - the wider range, the better...in other words, capacity to kick ass and complement our songs!
+clean vocal skills are considered as a big plus, but not mandatory
+possibility and will to do live gigs in Finland and outside Finland
+possibility to join audition in Espoo and rehearsals / recordings when needed
+18+ years of age
+great attitude and dedication towards being in a band
+basic English language communication skills (all nationalities can apply)

We are looking forward to hearing FROM YOU! If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask here or send email to @

Yours,
Jarkko, Kalle, Antti, Asim, Jukka

Sold out The Circus in Helsinki, Finland witnessed the ending of Under The Red Cloud tour for Amorphis. It has been a long 2 years with over 220 concerts around the world and the guitarist Tomi Koivusaari said they will take a whole one day off and start rehearsing the songs on their next album on monday. Now that's what we all could call dedication!

AMORPHIS re-signed a new record deal with their longtime label home, Nuclear Blast few weeks ago. AMORPHIS guitarist Esa Holopainen commented: "I'm really happy to announce that AMORPHIS got re-signed to Nuclear Blast! It's nice to be working with such professional and familiar people. AMORPHIS has done a lot of touring for the past two years around the globe and now it's time to head back to the studio. This means that the new album will be released next year! It has also been a really nice experience for all of us to play with [returning bassist] Olli-Pekka [Laine] again and for that reason, we're glad to have him participating in the making of the new record."

Nuclear Blast CEO Markus Staiger added: "I'm really proud that we can continue working with AMORPHIS, one of the early Nuclear Blast bands, which went through the roof with 'Tales From The Thousand Lakes' back in 1994. Additionally, they became really good friends of ours, which makes this working relationship even cooler. I'm already looking forward to their next album, because it's simply impossible for AMORPHIS to deliver a bad record."

Metal From Finland wishes Amorphis a wonderful day off cheesey

After few years of silence Metal From Finland is back with a completely new website. Content is still very much work-in-progress but we wanted to open the website since most elements are already there.
My god we are stoked! Metal From Finland is finally open again! We were away for few years due to some personal things but now we are back ten times wiser. Metal From Finland 2017 is very much different from old MFF. Not only the way it looks but also what it contains. Whereas we tried to be the ultimate source for Finnish metal in the past now we focus on matters that we find more important. That is to present bands but not so much in detail. We try to provide videos and audio from every band so you know what you are dealing with. There are also lot of changes on how the website is updated and now we are able to update things very fast.

Please keep in mind that this is a work-in-progress and at the moment we only have a small fraction of bands added to the website but we will be adding new ones on daily basis. Also for other changes do check the FAQs for more information. We sincerily hope you enjoy your stay here cause afterall, this was all made for you.

This is so much fun to do but at the same time super difficult. At first you might think yeah sure picking up 100 is easy but when you actually start picking them up it gets more and more difficult.
This service is provided by http://top100.topsters.net and you can make your list there with kinda cool manner. Basically you split your albums on 3 categories. The absolute TOP-10, Second tier classics and other favourites. And for the sake of being reasonable this should not be narrowed only to Finnish metal. And I also suggest that you signup to that website otherwise if you take too long your effort might go wasted. By doing quick signup you can save your favourites and edit them later etc.

After you are finished you can share your TOP-100 to your Facebook page or save it as an image. For our purpose it would be saving the image. Then you can use for instance imgur.com to upload your picture and there you can get the appropriate bbcode to use in forums.

There is a forum thread in Metal From Finland where we start gathering these TOP-100 of our followers and it will extremely interesting to see what are your favourites. I will post mine as the first post on the thread. Let's make this a fun thing!
