Finish Symphonic Metal masters AMBERIAN DAWN are set to release their upcoming full length studio album “Darkness Of Eternity” on November 10th 2017 worldwide via Napalm Records.

Today the very first track off the album sees the light of day in form of a lyric video!

AMBERIAN DAWN mastermind Tuomas gives an insight of the writing and record process of the track “Maybe”:
This song represents the poppier side of the album. Most songs on this album are heavier and I'm glad that there was still room for a couple of softer songs too. So far I haven't put a side project band together for these different kinds of songs, instead of that I've wanted to make all those experiments with AD. I was happy to produce this song as a tribute to ABBA's Benny Andersson. Most of the keyboards on this song was recorded at his studio in Stockholm and with his legendary keyboard "Great White Elephant", a Yamaha GX-1 which is often heard on ABBA songs in late 70's & early 80's. Lead vocal melody is actually based on a keyboard riff I composed at the age of 15 or something. That melody came back to me from somewhere and it became eventually the corner stone of the whole song! After I got the main melody working in it's final form, rest of the song kind of wrote itself !! Those 16-beats with hi-hats which run through the whole song were there from the very first demo of mine and our drummer Joonas & bassist Jukka insisted keeping that style in the final version too.”

"Until Falls The Rain", the new video from Finnish cinemascope metallers CRIMFALL, can be seen below.
"Until Falls The Rain", the new video from Finnish cinemascope metallers CRIMFALL, can be seen below. The clip was directed by Olli Hakkinen and shot by Max Smeds. The song is taken from the band's upcoming album, "Amain", which will be released on August 25 via Metal Blade Records.

CRIMFALL comments: "Before we unleash the third storm that is 'Amain', we present you our very first music video. 'Until Falls The Rain' is the crushing conclusion for the album, last simmering truths are laid low, throats bared against the unforgiving fall. It was a long day of drowning under homemade sprinklers, shooing away fire brigades and mopping away thousand lakes of water. In the end we are more than satisfied with the forlorn end result."

"Amain" is CRIMFALL's most ambitious album yet, combining familiar elements with fresh inspiration, and wreathed in massive crisp production from Fascination Street Studios. Featuring music that spans from monumental orchestrations to songs whispered over fading pyres, "Amain" contains layers upon layers of grand melodies woven between jagged shadows. On this new release, CRIMFALL also continues to sing the stories of wars waged in vain, advocating freedom from religious dogmas and the bloody chains of tradition.

"Amain" track listing:

01. Eschaton
02. The Last Of Stands
03. Ten Winters Apart - pt1. Far From Any Fate
04. Ten Winters Apart - pt2. Song of Mourn
05. Ten Winters Apart - pt3. Sunder the Seventh Seal
06. Ten Winters Apart - pt4. Dawn Without a Sun
07. Mother of Unbelievers
08. It's a Long Road
09. Wayward Verities
10. Until Falls The Rain

CRIMFALL lineup:

Mikko Hakkinen - Vocals
Helena Haaparanta - Vocals
Jakke Viitala - Guitars
Miska Sipilainen - Bass
Janne Jukarainen - Drums

Finnish folk metallers ENSIFERUM will release their seventh album, "Two Paths", on September 15 via Metal Blade Records.
Finnish folk metallers ENSIFERUM will release their seventh album, "Two Paths", on September 15 via Metal Blade Records. Produced by Anssi Kippo, the disc was recorded on tape, for a true analog experience.

The official video for the latest single from the album, "Way Of The Warrior", can be seen below.

ENSIFERUM comments: "So here it is, our brand new video of the song 'Way Of The Warrior'.

"Like our music combines metal and folk elements, so does this video.

"It was really great to be involved in the process more than we ever have been before and the result turned out to be fantastic! We hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoyed recording the song and shooting the video. So turn the volume up to eleven, move your furniture a bit so that you have room for moshing and press play!"

You can't talk about the true greats of folk-inspired melodic death metal without reverent mention of ENSIFERUM, and with "Two Paths", they once more affirm their place in the pantheons of the genre. Further building upon the thrilling metallic hybrid honed across six full-lengths, "Two Paths" is simultaneously the Finnish quintet's most epic and far-reaching collection and their most organic, which definitely sets it apart from the pack. Additionally, the album literally takes the concept of "Two Paths" to heart, with two different versions of standout tracks "Don't You Say" and "God Is Dead".

"Even though ENSIFERUM has always had clean vocals and choirs, harsh vocals have been the main style, and those songs worked so well with both styles that we decided to include both versions," explains bassist/vocalist Sami Hinkka. With Mikko P. Mustonen again handling orchestral arrangements and Lassi Logren returning to play nyckelharpa and violin on a few songs, Hinkka is also more than happy that they brought "more bombastic orchestral and down to earth folk aspects" to the record, further fleshing out their vision. This also applies to the contribution of Gyula Havancsak, who provided the artwork for both "Two Paths" and its predecessor, "One Man Army". "It was really nice to work with him again because he always wants to hear our ideas and then he adds his own magic and improvements to them, and the result is always astonishing," says Hinkka.

"Two Paths" track listing

01. Ajattomasta Unesta
02. For Those About To Fight For Metal
03. Way Of The Warrior
04. Two Paths
05. King Of Storms
06. Feast With Valkyries
07. Don't You Say
08. I Will Never Kneel
09. God Is Dead
10. Hail To The Victor
11. Unettomaan Aikaan
12. God Is Dead (Alternative Version)
13. Don't You Say (Alternative Version)

From September 27 onward, ENSIFERUM will present "Two Paths" live on stage, splitting their European tour into two parts. The first part will be in September with six dates in three countries, and then in April 2018 there will be an extended tour through many more European countries. In between that time, ENSIFERUM will visit all other continents.

ENSIFERUM is:

Petri Lindroos - Vocals/Guitar
Markus Toivonen - Guitar/Vocals
Sami Hinkka - Bass/Vocals
Janne Parviainen - Drums
Netta Skog - Digital Accordion/Backing vocals
